Winter

There is so much I love about Winter. Winter to me means hot chocolate, snuggly blankets, good books, and my favorite fashions (boots, scarves, hats...) Unfortunately, when it rolls around each year, I am reminded, that winter is.. well.. cold. REALLY cold. And here at the edge of the Great Dividing Range it's FREEZING. Well, as freezing as it gets without quite making snow. Shoosh. Whatever. I'm cold!

I'm also sick. I have the female version of man flu. I guess that'd be called woman flu, huh? I am whining and feeling very sorry for myself regularly. Still, despite all its flaws, winter is still my second favorite season after autumn. I have a box of hot chocolate. I have a slow cooker with a divine stew simmering on the stove, and seeing the naked trees through the foggy mist makes me smile. Nature is beautiful.

Am I alone in my winter love!?

I HATE the cold but I do love the beauty of winter! I tend to hibernate in winter, but I do love getting out and about all rugged up and cosy!

You are not alone! I ADORE winter. Being able to rug up and venture out into the cold air, or curling up on the sofa in front of a crackling fire, wrapping my hands around a steaming mug of coffee.... total bliss!

And to top it all off, I have spent 3 winters in the UK now and it has snowed each time. Even if it doesn't snow, I love seeing frost on everything, it is like shards of glass. They even have a weather phenomenon here called "freezing fog" which falls kinda like snow but it's not as big as a snowflake.

I'm not a fan of the blazing hot summers in Aus, summer in the UK is much nicer but they do have the occasional hot day (well... anything above 20C is "hot" to them), I have acclimatised to winter here too well because I am starting to believe that 25 is a heatwave LOL

Give me winter any day!
