Dinner time?

Sunday, May 31, 2009

So I asked you your top ten songs and what books I ought to add to my must read list, now I want to know what is for dinner tonight? I need inspiration! Since RJ was born, it has been easy to rely on meal bases and easy to throw together meals. This is great, but I feel like cooking... so inspire me. What is for dinner at yours tonight, or what is your favourite meal to make?

Failing that, whats for dessert?!

I have mild concussion, the little one just got home from a birthday party and housemate is having chicken schnitzels.
So i have done the lazy option and ordered pizza from pizza capers.
Usually i love cooking and do most of it.

Dinner tonight? Well it was leftovers for me but wednesday will be Vege Pancake day! Grated veg mixed through pancake mix with some tuna or leftover pork roast chopped through!

I've been pretty lazy of late and my bub's not even here! Can I blame it on work and eisteddfod stress, lol!

Anyhoo, we had an easy peasy dessert tonight. Partially defrost pre-made French crepes (freezer section in the supermaret!), spread half with Nutella/caramel top n fill, fold crepe into quarters and nuke till heated through (less than 1 min for 2 crepes) and serve with vanilla ice-cream.

YUM!

(darn... I want more now, lol)

We had fish fillets sprinbkled with lemon pepper and slices of onion, baked in the oven and steamed veg (carrot, zucchini, brocolli and cauliflower) covered in cheeses sauce - best way to get a toddler to eat them! Dessert was non existant last night but lately I've been known to make chocolate self saucing pudding or apple cake served warm from the oven with ice cream.

Now to decide on what to make tonight....

Don't ask me, I'm so undomesticated. We get a lot of takeout or packet meals.

Spaghetti is always easy and super yum!

Tonight was a ginger-lamb-broccolini stir-fry concotion. I'm too into baking right now to care about dinners! Am very into pilafs with home-made raitas and (bought) pappadoms though.
